End of Year Update for Kolmar Families 🌷
Welcome Back, Kolmar Families! 🐴❤️🩶🖤
The countdown is almost over, Mustangs! We are so excited to welcome our students and families back to Kolmar for the 2026–2027 school year! Our halls are ready, classrooms are coming to life, and our staff cannot wait to see our students back in the building.
The first day of school is Thursday, August 20! School begins at 8:20 AM, and students may arrive as early as 8:05 AM. The school day ends at 2:45 PM.
📚 Find Your Child's Teacher
Parents can log in to Skyward Family Access to find their child's teacher. Teacher assignments can be found under Schedules. We are looking forward to seeing our students meet their new teachers, reconnect with friends, and begin another year of learning and growing together!
📱 A New Way to Stay Connected
This year, Kolmar will be using ParentSquare as our primary communication platform. We encourage all families to take a few minutes now to set up and activate their ParentSquare account so you are ready to receive important school and classroom communication throughout the year.
⭐ Every Day Counts!
As we begin a new school year, we want to continue emphasizing that EVERY DAY COUNTS. Being at school every day and arriving on time gives students the best opportunity to learn, participate, build relationships, and experience all that Kolmar has to offer.
We understand that students will occasionally become ill and need to stay home. However, whenever your child is healthy, please make regular and on-time attendance a priority. Every classroom experience, conversation, lesson, and connection matters!
If your child will be absent, parents must call the Kolmar attendance line at 708-385-6747. When calling, please provide:
- Your child's name
- Your name
- The reason for the absence
🤝 Join the Kolmar Parent Group
We are excited to welcome our families back and hope you will consider getting involved with the Kolmar Parent Group! The first meeting of the school year will be:
Wednesday, September 16 at 9:30 AM Kolmar Professional Development Room
Our Parent Group does so much to support our students and school community, and we would love to see new and returning families at the meeting!
🛡️ Keeping Our Students Safe
The safety of our students and staff continues to be one of our highest priorities. When visiting Kolmar or picking up your child early, you will be required to use our Visitor Aware system and provide a valid ID or driver's license.
We appreciate your cooperation with this process. These procedures help us maintain a safe and secure environment for everyone in our school community.
We are SO EXCITED to begin another amazing year at Kolmar! We have a year full of learning, laughter, new experiences, friendships, accomplishments, and Mustang pride ahead of us. Thank you for partnering with us and helping make Kolmar such a special place for our students.
Let's make it a fantastic year, Mustangs! 🐴❤️🩶🖤
